Motorcycle/Power Products Technology


Program Description
Tulsa Tech’s Motorcycle/Power Products Technology program is accredited by the Engine and Equipment Training Council (comparable to ASE) and will put you on the path toward a career in the outdoor power equipment and motorcycle service industry. You will study safety, tools, measurement, and engine principles as well as repair aspects of fuel, electrical and drive systems common to lawn and garden equipment, ATVs and motorcycles. You will also learn to evaluate, troubleshoot and recondition selected engines and equipment within this diverse trade area. You will have the opportunity to attend annual update seminars at the BA Campus sponsored by Kawasaki, Briggs & Stratton, Yamaha, and Stihl among others. Successful program completion equips you with the skills to transition easily into one of the many jobs in this broad occupational area.



Program Hours and Length
•High school students - 1,050 class hours.
--Two-year program beginning in August.
•Adults
-- May enroll at various times throughout the year.
-- Three to six hours daily.
•Morning session - 8:00 - 11:00am.
•Afternoon session - 12:00 - 3:00pm.



Tuition
•No charge for high school students within Tulsa Tech District.
•Adult - $2.50/hour; $2,625.00/total program cost (approximately).*



Books and Supplies
•No charge for high school students within Tulsa Tech District.
•Adults - books/$175; glasses/$5.



Prerequisite
None



College Credit
May earn college credit toward an associate degree in applied science from Tulsa Community College.



Credentials and Industry Certifications
Equipment and Engine Training Council Certification.



Career Opportunities
