Training for Existing Industry Initiative - State

Purpose

To accommodate the increased demand placed on customized training for companies that must re-tool and/or re-train to remain competitive and retain jobs. We believe the economic future will largely depend on the ability of Tulsa Technology Center to provide training for existing business and industry to remain competitive and grow in the marketplace. Frequently this requires providing the existing workforce with upgrade training or training on new systems or equipment. The mission of Tulsa Technology Center is to respond to these needs by designing customized industry training programs. The Training for Existing Industry Initiative FY06 funds will allow Business and Career Development (BCD) to establish more partnerships with business and industry. This will produce economic growth.

Eligibility Criteria

This initiative is intended to serve companies that are primarily exporters of goods and services or suppliers of exporters (i.e., manufacturers, distribution centers, business services centers, etc.).
