Supplemental Safety Training Funding
Purpose
Funds are available through Tulsa Technology Center to assist employers in off setting the cost of safety training. This funding is a result of Oklahoma House Bill 1447 which provides financial assistance in an effort to increase competent occupational safety and health consultation, education and training for public and private employers. The program is directed toward the advancement of safety and health training to meet the needs of business and industry with stated goals, the number of industries served, employees trained, and value added to the employee and the industry, as well as the promotion and delivery of safety and health training in order to educate employees and promote workplace safety. The primary objective will be to reduce OSHA recordables, key loss factors, Loss Work Days, and restricted work activity and transfers.
